What to expect
How Image Compression works
Reduce file size without changing width or height. Choose Low, Medium, High, or Best, then compare the original and result sizes.
Choose a quality level
Start with High. Use Medium or Low when you need a smaller file, or Best when fine detail matters most.
The output format can change
- JPG input is saved as JPG.
- PNG and WebP input are saved as WebP.
- If the browser cannot encode WebP, the tool can fall back to JPG.
Compare the result size
Each result card shows the original size, compressed size, and percentage change. If the result is larger, choose a lower quality level or keep the original file.
